Parking is a little steep a bit still a good all day bargain. We come with Narragansett area from Massachusetts several times each summer, we much prefer it to the Cape. It was about fourteen dollars for non residents on the weekend which i didn't think was too bad.We've been here a number of times over the years and have enjoyed it. East Matunuck usually can hold around 800 cars but the state would only allow 635 in the parking lot, while at Scarborough Beach that number was only 750. Very family friendly. Plus the waves are HUGE!!!!!!!! Through the years I have had the opportunity to check out some other neat beaches sprinkled across Southern New England - although this isn't my top choice, I was reminded today why this spot is still orrery cool!Nice beach.

At only $12 a car (out of state rate), we could enjoy the day on a beautiful beach, have access to a snack bar, bathrooms, and a souvenir shop. I don't know what the reason is behind the type of beach-goers who frequent this particular beach, but in the handful of times I've been there this summer, we are usually always surround by a-holes. It's a much less crowded beach than Misquamicut too to there was plenty of room for the kids to play in the sand. Ruined an otherwise nice beach day.One of the local beaches near Point Judith, it's situated adjacent to a wooded area which has numerous trails and sights to see as you walk toward Black Rock fishing area. Very clean. I think not.I love this beach! GroupsWe were staying for the week near the Narragansett town beach, however, the inability to park there led us to this beach. Not too crowded, great weather and clean beach. Only complaint is you can't play ball or frisbee down by the water or you get whistled at by the life guards even if people are not close to you. You can put up an Easy-up tent and claim one of the picnic tables. Scarborough was a nice beach with plenty of parking. Bathhouse with hot (coin operated) showers, concession, lifeguards. SHORT walk to the beach from your car. It's located directly next to the sewage treatment plant and smells awful. Two Lights State Park. Surfing use for all occupants of one vehicle at Scarborough Beach State Park. Our family has rented a house close by, so my wife and I have walked or biked vs driving. Narragansett Town Beach is a classic New England Saltwater Coastal Beach front that offers some of the best, cleanest and accessible beach conditions for the residents and tourist in New England with attendance up to 10,000 patrons per day. Bring 75 cents if you want a private warm shower rather than the open air showers outside.
Usually (if you get there in the am) you can get a parking space along the bushes that separate the parking from the beach. Scarborough Beach State Park. The water is clean and the waves are great for boogie boarding. The water is warmer in RI and the traffic is better. There are several rock formations with tidal pools providing another alternative to ocean swimming. Out of state visitors pay 14.00 on weekend.Scarborough beach is a beautiful stretch of powdery white sand, offering an abundance of parking, plenty of covered seating areas, and snack/food/drink vendors, however; the reason for my 3 star review is simply the people this beach attracts.
