but it isn't that bad considering it is the third fastest woodie in New England, behind only Boulder Dash and Excalibur (Funtown USA). In the end, a fun ride. The location is great but the ride is awful. If you want a smooth ride, sit in the middle row in one of the cars since that row doesn't have an axle under it. As far as ride qualities go, it only has one real airtime hill, which is the first one. Even though some parts of the ride were rough, it overall was a fun ride. As long as you don't sit over an axle (aka the back seat of any one car) then you'll enjoy your ride on the Wild Cat.

Sure it may make you smack around a bit in the back seat, but thats good IMO. The Wild Cat was my first coaster so maybe I'm partial to it, but it's not so bad. While it was beautiful from the entrance, views of the ride from the queue indicated otherwise, as the paint was really fading and the track looked miserable. I love its location in the center of the park, but the ride was very slow throughout and therefore there was no air. A mildly thrilling ride, although many members of my party found it too jerky, even ridiculously so. The ride was very smooth though, but that was only because of the rides slow speed. The location in the middle is fantastic and the ride is in good condition for being so old but I wish that LC invested in some longer trains. The ride throws you around a lot and is needlessly jerky in weird spots, but that's what makes it a fun ride and live up to it's name! User Tracker Count:

To be honest, the fact that this coaster is undeniably rough is the only strong downside. As for the actual coaster, the first drop is okay but the rest is slow and rough in the spots that shouldn't be. Unforgettable fun at an unbelievable rate! I'.m surprised this 1927 coaster is still standing so I give it longevity points as well. Sketchy. In my opinion, although it was certainly inordinately jerky, the jerkiness is only in patches (albeit ones you might not expect to be typically jerky) and certainly manageable/tolerable. So for the reasons listed above, I can't hate on Wildcat's speed.
