Their veggie…""Came here the other day with some friends for dinner. Curries tasted OK and the breads were served hot. "I came here last night for the Summerlicious with a friend and I was not disappointed in spite of my fears. This will be a regular spot for me. If you like spicy, please ask for it. We can't recommend Kathmandu enough!
Best I have eaten in Toronto so far.
They moved four years ago to Cumberland Street in Yorkville and while we have ordered takeout from them using Just Eats we had never actually made it to their new location.

The vegetable chowmein is spicy and delicious. Waiter was awesome, and the dining area was very clean. Description: located In the heart of Downtown Toronto, Kathmandu Restaurant has been serving Indian and Nepalese Cuisine since 1997. lunch special Buffet for the busy afternoon crowd and A la carte in the evening Diners. Close to the hotel and they would deliver. I thought medium would be spicy but I could have eaten much more spicier.
This place makes you feel at home. The service is sub-par at best and on average you can expect to be harangued by a discourteous and brusque waitress. Try the Gobi Manchuri - breaded cauliflower with a spicy sauce. Service is friendly. The most flavorful meal in Des Moines.. Fantastic food! Each dish represents flavor, pleasure, affection and essence. I thought the shrimp dish was overpriced, since it's quite expensive but only comes with about 4 pieces of shrimp, and it was a bit dry. Across from Yonge/Bloor station, and has superb staffs!I'm going to keep this short and save you time.
Samosas are crispy and so good. We were given the option to seat wherever we wanted to. We used to visit it fairly regularly years ago when it was located on Yonge Street just north of Alexander Street. Had a few options but nothing was tasty.
We go here as much as we can even if we’re out of the way. The dinner a la carte food while deliciously edible, is overpriced. The butter chicken was so sweet I couldn't eat it.

Will return on a regular basis.Nice, small Indian/Nepalese restaurant. My boyfriend and I have gotten food from these guys a couple times -once for take-out and once dining in for the buffet- and both experiences were phenomenal!
However... the food could be better. It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad.
All of the curries were very tasty. This is a great option for vegetarians also. It was more food than was needed for four people but we really wanted to try everything.
Also, they only had one dessert - Gulab Jamun and it was not good. we welcome you to come and experience the Majestic Taste from the foothills of Himalayas. But the price and location, can bring it up to 4 stars (maybe) because the buffet was pretty good for the price ($12.99) and it was Saturday.
