Need to rethink their staff.Always nice to my daughter and myself. The chips are dry and hard.
The service is why this place is getting 1 star. You would think they would have at least given us the two tacos for having to come back out. Some things were ordered but we didn't receive. Please check with the restaurant directly. Everything on the menu was amazing -- I highly recommend a cheese sampling and the meatballs. I left my uneaten food on the plate and told the waiter about its inedible-ness when he cleared our table (politely- I didn't make a stink or anything) still paid for it-- but we won't be coming back. La Carreta Chef Special Tender grilled rib—eye with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. It tasted as if it had been microwaved on high or something- just bad. Salsa bar had some good choices. She enjoyed it and we were both very satisfied with the portion size. I got the ACP which is just grilled chicken, Mexican rice, and queso. When he did take our order, he was very short and rude with his voice.
Never going backIt's always a good night when La Carreta is for dinner. Never have we been disappointed here!Enjoyed our experience here. LA Careeta give your staff a permanent vacation. After hearing many positive reviews about La Carreta we gave it a try.
As a local, we visit this restaurant from time to time for a quick dinner. Staff is turning away business because they don't care. Due to Covid-19, restaurant open hours and service may differ. The food had no flavor and I honestly don't think the food is worth the price. No Horchata or Aguas naturales. There isnt care in the food or prep...my Chile rellano was not seeded or ribbed which made it very hot plus the filling was just a small amount of mozzarella cheese. The other salsa bar salsas are 25cents each!! JUST SHUT THE DOORS if you don't want to serve your customers. The server said no we can do that, he wouldn't even get the manger for us. I ordered a tamale and it was gross. Great parking.First time dining at this location. Full bar here. Will visit again as it could have just been a bad...We came into Asheville without a restaurant reservation and were lucky enough to get seats at the bar that is overlooking the kitchen. Has the same feel as papas and beer, but the food is not great as far as quality. And they will tell you they don't have to listen to you. We wont be going back....I think this place has the best Chile Rellano I have ever had. Sadly we will not be going...Stay away. Hopefully they can turn around. The food is just average. La Carreta is a restaurant located in Weaverville, North Carolina at 61 Weaver Boulevard. La Carreta will definitely satisfy any Mexican food craving!I used to not mind to go here for dinner but it had seemed like it's gone down hill to me. Lots of seating here so you can sit fast but that doesn't mean you'll be served fast. This place deserves a minus star. From the standard beef tacos and chicken enchiladas, to the crema chicken or the fajitas, you can always find a fairly standard Mexican meal at a good price, quick service...They always have a decent selection to please everyone's taste buds. I can feed more people in my NYC apartment then they can manage at this establishment. I like this location a lot and the one on Hendersonvile Rd but not so much the one on There's always a special on a HUGE mug of beer like "Stopped here one night, sat at the bar for a couple of beers and a meal. This is our go to Mexican restaurant.Hate to write bad reviews but I really hope the owners read this and consider doing a "quality audit" of their food. The waitstaff has been unbelievably rude and inattentive every time we've been here. I think everyone enjoyed their food. The reply from the gentleman was "It was a big order." The waiter kept them full the entire meal. This place use to be a pretty good place to go but in the past 8 months the service has gone down hill. But the waiters and hostess' here are not friendly at all! It came with my number 29. Cold Modesto beer served in a chilled glass also very reasonably priced . La Carreta is committed to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 AA). The food is good and comes out fresh and hot. The ambience is good , they start you out with a generous portion of warm chips & salsa . Wait staff was busy but did try to keep our drinks full. Service! I hear the drinks aren't bad, but overall, not somewhere that I would go to often.Food has always been okay. They start out nice but mid way through the meal they try to rush you out, they are rude and if you have a complaint and ask for the manager...well they all become the manager. The lemonade smelled like fish. So we just got up and left. And atmosphere! I was surprised a chalupa was a hard flat corn tortilla covered in beans and lettuce. To compare this location lacks the aura, to mean friendlier atmosphere, employees looking a touch happier.
